My cloud of the day

I'm still here. Just sidetracked by work, life and knitting. We lost our cat, Midnight, last August and I sure miss him. My daughter has two cats, so I borrowed one. They are a brother and sister, Nanu and Tigger. I have had Tigger for about two weeks and when my daughter and family moved to their new house, I started babysitting Nanu as well. The cats are happy to be back together and have learned our dog is a pushover and one look from Nanu sends her to another room or floor. Now they want Nanu back and I am going to miss him so much. Every morning when the alarm goes off, he comes running, lays down behind me and gives me a five minute neck massage. He is a big boy and does a pretty good job. I may have to change the locks on the door so they can't come get him. Let's see if I can get a movie in here showing the cats last night before bed. They are so sweet, come when called and Nanu loves to play fetch. He also has an unnerving habit of taking a flying leap from a tall dresser to the bed when my back is turned and has startled me more than once. I just love these cats!

NaKniSweMo KAL

Well I missed the deadline by a mile or two. I am so far behind it's not even funny. Katie's sweater is only about a third done, so I'm slowly trying to work on that. I got most of what's done finished in Wisconsin when I stayed with my sister over Thanksgiving. I'll have to get a picture of it in progress. Now I'm so busy at work, I can't see straight to knit by the time I get home. I guess I'll try to get some knitting done on it over the holidays so poor Katie can wear it before summer. 

Meet Bumble the Bat

Boo the Bat has a new brother, Bumble. My grandson Erik wanted a companion for Boo, so now they are both happy. I better get busy on the sweater for Katie. I'm a little behind. Friday morning I leave for 9 days with my sister in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I will have lots of knitting time while there, so hopefully I can catch up. I'll post pictures of the sweater later. 

NaKniSweMo KAL

Here is the start of my sweater for the NaKniSweMo KAL (this stands for knit a 50,000 stitch sweater in a month). It's for my granddaughter, Katie, who lives in North Carolina. Send me good wishes that I can get if finished on time and that it fits her.
